The Photo
Exchange program is designed to co-op stock assignments between
professional models and RFP.

Photographs regularly contributes to two stock agencies which then
offers the images for sale to art buyers for commercial purposes.
Our agencies,
clients and associates are encouraged to provide us with their "wish
lists". Occasionally, we will create the image for our library
and for submission. When models are required for these speculative
jobs we offer a photo exchange to obtain the talent.
How It
Works - The Win / Win:
When we
choose to create an image for a submission request that is not
currently in our catalog we put a call out for the models or talents
required. We select the model, schedule the shoot, have a design
consultation, and move to create the image.
In addition
to the spec session we also shoot some portfolio shots and provide,
free of charge, images for use in your portfolio. This is an
excellent way to fill out your portfolio with missing images or to
add new looks.
Finally, if
the wish list client chooses to purchase the image we submit, upon
receipt of payment, you have a choice to receive an issued
credit for additional photography or a cash payment.
Either choice will total to an agreed upon percentage of
the net sale, typically 15-20 percent, as a talent fee. You
are still entitled to keep your portfolio image/S at no charge.
All images
created on spec for a wish list client are sold as "Rights Managed"
and are priced depending on image size, specific usage,
distribution, and time limits. On average these images are priced
between $200.00 and $500.00. We do not sell, (and professional
models should not pose for), royalty free images in the Photo
Exchange program.
To Be
Considered for the Photo Exchange Program :
For
consideration, professional models should email a low res digital
image and resume to
photoexchange@farrahphotos.com. The image you submit
should be shot by a professional photographer. Also, the image
should be simple, non stylized, with minimal makeup and retouching.
Images created by exceptional advanced amateurs or semi pros may be
considered if the photography is outstanding. Please do not submit
snapshots. If you prefer, comp cards and resume may be mailed
to the studio. Be sure to include the job number in your package.
You only need to submit your package once. We will keep you on file
for 6 months and notify you of any future Photo Exchange
opportunities.
Because of
the expense involved creating a wish list image, only pro and semi
pro models and talents are encouraged to submit to Photo Exchange.
However, you may be considered for selection if you lack experience
but have an exceptional look and are perfect for the shot.
All models
will be required to sign a model release prior to the shoot. Models
under the age of 18 will require the signature of a parent or legal
guardian.
If you are
selected for Photo Exchange or a particular Photo Exchange
assignment, hair and makeup is at your expense. You may bring your
pro stylist to the shoot or we can arrange for one of ours.
Before
accepting a Photo Exchange assignment we will completely discuss
your image needs. We will agree to do the session only when
you are satisfied with all the terms of shoot and the type of shots
we are able to produce in addition to the stock shot we are
creating.
You
understand that for the most part we are trading service for service
and that you may or may not realize the onetime monitory payment.
You will be required to sign the RFP Model Release Form. Consideration for your efforts is the creation of additional
portfolio images determined and agreed upon at the pre-shoot
consultation. Monitory payment, if any, is a predetermined
percentage of the net sale in the event that the image is sold to
the wish list client.
